Is this Legit?Unfortunately there are many scams out there so please do your due diligence however, NHVCC is partnered with Arise which is a legitimate work-from-home opportunity. Can I work from anywhere?You must legally reside in the United States and must be 18 years or older. You can provide your services from anywhere that is open to new applications. If you move, you are able to bring your work with you! How many jobs can you say that about? *Currently Arise is not accepting new applicants from the following states: California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon and Wisconsin.

What fees do I pay and why?We have a low flat service fee of $35 per invoice in addition to the platform fee our partner charges which is $19.75. We pay our contractors via Direct Deposit. NHVCC has to cover business costs including Partner fees, computers, bank fees, software costs, direct deposit fees and more. Our low, flat service fee allows us to provide you with support during your certification process and beyond. We want you to be successful in your work from home journey! As an Independent Contractor you are responsible for your own taxes. NHVCC does not take any taxes out on your behalf. You will receive a 1099 at the end of the year if you made $600 or more. NHVCC does not pay for the time spent in a client certification course. We are the middleman between our partner’s clients and our Independent Contractors working from home. As a Contractor you are responsible for any certification needed that is required to educate yourself to properly provide your services to the client. Furthermore you are not eligible to receive unemployment, overtime or benefits as overtime or benefits as an Independent Contractors. I would advise you to meet with a tax specialist to go over what you are able to write off and what deductions you can take as an independent contractor.

What equipment is needed?A desktop/tower computer with a separate monitor is HIGHLY recommended. (Laptops are okay to use but you may want a second monitor as many client require the use of Dual Monitors (Use of WiFi is prohibited) -Dual boot machines (other than a Mac), Chromebooks, Netbooks, and Tablets are prohibited from use. All-in-one computers are not allowed by any client -USB headset for course training as well as call taking. A small number of clients require a land-line telephone with no features or a digital phone line (VoiP) through your cable or internet company.
